Art stimulates your imagination and enhances your problem-solving and analytical skills at the same time. It lets you portray your imagination with a solution that only you can come up with. There's no one right answer when painting, so you'll learn to think outside of the box. Art will also make you more observant. Painting will help you see things better because of your increased attention to detail, both when observing the real world and translating it onto your painting. Finally, art relaxes you and reduces stress.

So where does alcohol fit into this picture? It is actually scientifically proven that alcohol helps you to be more creative. As long as the consumption is right below the legal limit of . 075 (there are apps and sites that will help you compute your BAC), you'll still be able to function enough to let your creativity flow. The alternative effects will still hold, of course - your working memory will lessen, and you'll generally become less aware of your surroundings. But studies show that when your brain focuses less on your surroundings, you'll have more space to be creative.

Get creative on your next night out. Grab a paintbrush and a bottle of beer or a glass of wine, but don't overdo it. You'll want to create a masterpiece and be proud of it, but make sure you'll be able to get home afterwards!
