New National Teacher Training Center in Germany

We are happy to announce that the German Telekom Stiftung will fund a National Centre for Teacher Training in Mathematics with 5 Mio. € for the next five years. The successful application for the center was submitted by a consortium of six Universities from Berlin and North-Rhine-Westphalia.

CERMAT at PH Karlsruhe, current host of the Intergeo project, is one of the partners of the new center, which will open officially in October 2011. We will provide our experience and content in mathematics education resources for the center. Ulrich Kortenkamp, who was one of the applicants for the center, will take a leading role for building the information and communication platform for the center.

We look forward to providing even more teachers and students in Europe with resources for technology-supported teaching and learning!

AOL was one of the early pioneers of the Internet in the mid-1990s, and the most recognized brand on the web in the United States. It originally provided a dial-up service to millions of Americans, as well as providing a web portal, e-mail, instant messaging and later a web browser following aol mail login purchase of Netscape.
