Circles Inscribed in Two Isosceles Right Triangles Using Dr Geo (png image file)

There is a relationship between a circle inscribed in an isosceles right triangle, and a semicircle inscribed in a square. Beginning with the large brown triangle, we add a reduced grey triangle, hypotenuse against side. Notice that the centre of the circle in the small grey triangle lies on the line that defines the blue square circumscribing the red semicircle in the large triangle. Image file of type png exported from Dr Geo dynamic geometry software. The data file for Dr Geo is also on i2geo.net.
